Presentation: 3/5
A funny concept of this game: A To-Fu ninja tries to avoid all obstacles, gets as many blue sparkles as possible and find the exit to complete a level. It's quite funny for using a To-Fu ninja as the main character of this game. But...despite of controlling a To Fu, what else can make the game attracts players? Probably none!
Graphics: 4/5
Great and awesome Japanese-style graphics! It supports iPhone Retina screen so perfectly. You even can't see any pixel on your iPhone 4 screen!
Retina graphics!
Japanese style UI and menus
The most creative design is the springboard icon of this game is actually the To-Fu character!
A To-Fu character and it's an icon!
Sound: 2/5
Repeat an repeat Japanese background music makes you bored! The rhyme of background music is too stereotype! We suggest to use some dynamic musics which will certainly drive player more excited! The developers of this game shall never forget the importance of how musics & sound FX can affect players' mood to enjoy with a game!
Gameplay: 3/5
At the beginning, you may feel that the gameplay is quite innovative: Stretch your character and ping it along wall so as to guide it to the exit of each level. However, you will find designs of levels are too simple and bored. If you just want to complete a level without getting all blue sparkles in each level, you will feel that the game is for the retarded only!
Further, the obstacles of levels are limited, e.g. spikes, laser, spinning blades and...oh! Sorry, we can't find anymore obstacles... LoL
Spinning blade kills you in a second!
Spikes and spikes!
Control: 3/5
Stretch and ping...and no more!
I'm ready to be stretched!
Lasting Appeal: 2/5
There are totally 120 levels, but each level only takes you 30-45 secs to complete. And, there are totally 22 achievements for you to complete, nonetheless all achievements can be completed so easily. More, this game supports Game Center...it just simply lists out which achievement you have unlocked so far and that's all! Please don't expect you can review your total play time, total number of blue sparkles collected, etc.
Conclusion:
Is it worth for $0.99? One US dollar seems nothing to almost all people. It's fine to buy it if you have a spare one dollar and you have leisure to WASTE.
This is a strong advice to all iOS developers: If you figured out a great creative game-play, don't waste it. Please be sincere to your project! Don't waste your idea! Elements to build a great game not only include a great idea, but also cool graphics, sounds, story, game-play and the most importantly: you HEART!
